JOHN FITZGERALD

My road to wellness was a rockey road literally. I was raised in the country. We had stuff. We never had the most or the best. What we had was enough if you paid attention: food from close by, bodies that got used, weather you didn’t hide from, work that wasn’t optional.

That was the land. The house was a different story.

My parents loved me. but like many parents of that age sent me to public school, and fed us what was easy  the boxed food, the “convenient” stuff, prepackaged meats, the habits a whole generation was told were normal. I don’t look at that as them failing me. I look at it as a generation that got sold a story for a lifetime about health, education, and food. They did what they were taught. The pyramid. The packaged aisle. The idea that the experts had already figured out the body and you just needed to follow the box.

I inherited the love and the habits. In middle school I wrestled heavyweight at about 220 pounds. Big kid. Not a healthy kid. Just a kid living the pattern his people had been sold.

School sports and martial arts outside of school started to change that. I competed, and I started learning past the basics of strength and conditioning. I figured out a rudimentary diet. I got leaner, stronger, faster not because I had the map, but because I was hungry to have one. Through college I kept competing, and that’s where the knowledge exploded. Focused study on one side. My own curiosity on the other. I started digging into human science for real. Not the poster on the gym wall. How the thing actually works.

After college I became a personal trainer. Then bodybuilding pulled me in. I got to 245 pounds at 6% body fat. From the outside that looks like the finish line. Big. Lean. Disciplined. The kind of body people assume is healthy I was a personal trainer in a big-box gym, after all.

It wasn’t.

Adrenal fatigue i didn't know about. Poor sleep. Caffeine just to function. Gut wrecked. Chronic inflammation. Sore joints. A back that kept going out from a lack of natural movement. I had built a body that looked like a Greek god on the outside. On the inside it was swiss cheese. And functioned like a broken clock.I was doing what a lot of people are still doing:

Combat sports taught me how a body performs under stress. Bodybuilding taught me you can look healthy and still be inflamed, exhausted, and hurt. Observing the trends in this country taught me the thing I had to relearn: you don’t get healthy by adding more products to an unnatural life. You get healthy by putting the body back in a life it recognizes  ground, real food, full movement, cold, light, sleep, and purpose that fulfills you .

MY MISSION is to hand people back their own health — teaching families how to care for themselves naturally, and pulling people off the normal path back to what’s natural

In 2016 I was hit by a car walking across the street. That put me into the world of “more educated” doctors of physical therapy.   after my 16 weeks i still felt like i got hit by a car and it led me  on a conquest to deepen my biomechanical knowledge, massage techniques, saunas, plunges  to achiveing progress beyond when the injury took place.

I didn’t become a coach because I had it figured out from day one. I always was one, curious and pushy, strong willed

and never truly content with the level that were at, that feeling that there's more to uncover.

For 20 years been driving me  been deeper and deeper into the science bioscience and physics  only to arrive at the conclusion our greatest ancestors had right all along. The generation before us wasn’t stupid. They were taught a map that didn’t match the land.

The work now is the connection I lost and found again. Not another way to outsmart nature. A way to stop living like a lab rat and still expecting the body to perform like it lives in its natural environment and fed nutritious food.
